Bubba Moreau is a lifelong resident of Tioga, Louisiana. Married to Theresa Moreau for 39 years with two children. Nicole Darnell, who is a nurse and now works in the family business and Cody Moreau, who works in the family business. Two grandsons, Landon and Cameron Darnell.
Graduated from Tioga High School. Self-employed business man, owner, operator of Effie Quick Stop & Tackle.
Attended Missouri Auctioneer School in Kansas City, Missouri. Louisiana licensed auctioneer for the past 40 years. Served under Governor Mike Foster’s administration on the Louisiana Licensing Auctioneers Board.
This is Bubba’s third term to serve on the Rapides Parish Police Jury, serving District A proudly, which consists of all of Ward 10 and portions of Wards 9 and Wards 11. In past years he has served in the capacity of President and Vice President of the Police Jury.
Bubba has always been active in the Ward 10 Recreation program, having coached and sponsored teams for over 35 years.
He is presently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee, as well as serving on the Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs; Workforce Development and Municipal Liaison; Grants, Economic Planning and Development; Courthouse and Tourism; Parochial Board Liaison and Legal; Personnel, Elections and Health; and Insurance, Ambulance, Fire and Homeland Security Committees of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
Bubba is currently a member of the National Association of County Officials and serves on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee.
Bubba enjoys cooking, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
