David Johnson is a native of Rapides Parish and is currently serving his first term on the Rapides Parish Police Jury. He represents District H, which includes Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. This is the largest district, geographically, in the parish.
David has served his community through his lifelong interest in livestock. He is not only a cattleman, but has been the owner and operator of David Johnson’s Arena for over twenty-five years. As a man of faith, he has been a long time, active member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he has served as a devoted deacon for the past fourteen years. Out of concern for the well-being of his community, David is an active member of the Ward 6 Neighborhood Watch and has served as past president. David has deep roots to the area and is honored and proud to serve the district by building on the legacy left by the district’s predecessor, Richard W. Billings.
