Theodore Fountaine, III is 51 years of age and a resident in the City of Alexandria. He is presently appointed to serve as Police Juror for District D.
Mr. Fountaine is a graduate of Peabody Magnet High School. He also attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where he received his B.S. Degree in Business. He has further studied at Southern University and Louisiana State University at Alexandria.
Mr. Fountaine has worked in management for financial companies and a chain of convenience stores. He also worked as a Social Worker for the Volunteers of America and a home recruiter for LA Mentor, servicing the Office of Juvenile Justice and Department of Children and Family Services.
Mr. Fountaine is a member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Rapides Parish. He is an active member of the Alexandria Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and in 2008 served as Representative of District D for the Democratic Party Executive Committee.
Mr. Fountaine is currently the Chairman of the Parochial Board Liaison and Municipal Liaison Committee. He is currently serving on the Finance Committee; Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs Committee; Workforce Development and Grants Committee; Courthouse, Coliseum and Legal Committee; Personnel, Elections and Health Committee and Insurance, Ambulance, Fire and Homeland Security Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
He is a member of the National Organization of County Officials and serves on the Health Steering Committee.
