Bubba Moreau is a lifelong resident of Tioga, Louisiana.
Bubba graduated from Tioga High School. He is a self-employed businessman and owner of Effie Kwik Stop & Tackle.
Bubba attended Missouri Auctioneer School in Kansas City, Missouri. He has also been a Louisiana licensed auctioneer for over 40 years. Bubba also served under Governor Mike Foster’s administration on the Louisiana Licensing Auctioneers Board.
This is Bubba’s sixth term on the Rapides Parish Police Jury, serving District A proudly, which consists of all of Ward 10 and portions of Wards 9 and Wards 11. He has served as President of the Police Jury in 2018 and was also Vice President of the Jury in in 2013 and 2014.
Bubba is currently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee for 2024. He is also a member of the Parochial Board Liaison and Municipal Liaison Committee; the Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs Committee; the Workforce Development and Grants Committee; the Tourism and Economic Planning and Development Committee; the Courthouse, Coliseum and Legal Committee; the Personnel, Elections and Health Committee; and the Insurance, Ambulance, Fire and Homeland Security Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
He is currently a member of the National Association of County Officials and serves on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee. Also has served on the Red River Delta Law Enforcement Planning Council, Rapides Area Planning Commission, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Regional Infrastructure Beltway and Chamber of Commerce.
Bubba has been married to Theresa Moreau for 44 years. They have two children. Their daughter, Nicole Darnall, is a nurse and is married to husband Michael, and has three children, Landon, Camron, and Easton. Their son, Cody Moreau, helps run the family business.
Bubba enjoys cooking, fishing, teaching his grandsons baseball and football, and spending time with his family and friends.
