Randy Harris

Reverend Randy Harris, Police Juror District D Rev. Randy Harris is a prominent community leader, public servant, and advocate from Alexandria, Louisiana. He currently serves as the Police Juror for District D, a position that involves representing key areas of the city such as Acadian Village, Lower and Upper Third, Downtown Alexandria, parts of the Garden District, the Northside, and Wardville in Pineville. Born and raised in Alexandria, Rev. Harris has a strong academic background. He graduated Cum Laude from Grambling State University in 1987 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. He furthered his education by earning a Magna Cum Laude Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling Psychology from Southwest Bible College. Rev. Harris is deeply involved in his local community and the church. He serves as the Pastor of Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Alexandria, and has held several influential roles, including Mayoral Assistant for the City of Alexandria and Director of Safe Alexandria. He has also worked as Fleet Manager for Med Express Ambulance Service and taught Theology at United Theological Seminary. His leadership extends to several organizations, including the United Educational Baptist Association and the National Baptist Convention of America. He is a former member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and a past 2nd Vice-President of the Alexandria NAACP. As a passionate advocate for social justice, Rev. Harris has founded several initiatives aimed at improving his community, including the STOP THE VIOLENCE Movement, the Gun Buy Back Initiative, and the Back the Blue Initiative. Rev. Harris’s work has earned him numerous accolades, such as the Louisiana Senate Commendation Award and Alexandria’s Mayoral Proclamation for Randy Harris Appreciation Day. His dedication to making Alexandria a safer and more just place has also been recognized by organizations like Acme Lodge #43 P.H.A. and Mizpah #108 O.E.S.-P.H.A. In addition to his professional achievements, Rev. Harris is a proud father of two sons, Randy and Randall Harris. His extensive career and commitment to his faith and community demonstrate his unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those around him.
